Great Keppel appoints BCM Great Keppel Island Resort has appointed BCM to manage all of its marketing communications. The resort is currently undergoing a significant refurbishment which is designed by Sydney architectural firm Marchese + Partners. In February this year Sydney based developer Terry Agnew took control of the Great Keppel Island Resort and also recently purchased the Keppel Haven budget accommodation resort on the island. "We're doing a multi-million dollar refurbishment which will see the Great Keppel Resort upgraded to a new standard and we need to conduct a rebranding exercise in line with this work" stated Sarah Cusack, Keppel's Director of Sales and Marketing. "BCM have extensive strategy, brand positioning and tourism sector experience so they're well placed to work on the Great Keppel brand" she added. BCM has started work immediately. BCM Partner Paul Cornwell confirmed that BCM had entered a competitive process with other agencies, but was delighted that the agency had been appointed. "The strategic repositioning involved with Keppel is a complex and challenging one but we're up for it" he added. Great Keppel Island is located in the Keppel Isles group and is accessed via Rockhampton. The island is over 1,400 hectares of which 90% is natural bushland. Keppel boasts 17 beaches and an average annual temperature of 25 degrees. |
